Worship
The worship of God is the heart of the Christian faith and the center of our life together in the church. We have opportunities for traditional worship at Buford Presbyterian Church each Sunday. Communion is celebrated the first Sunday of every month at all services. The Sacrament of the Lord's Supper is open to all persons who are baptized in any church and who have made a confession of faith in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Baptized children of this faith community may also participate in the Lord's Supper.
Worship Times
From August through May, we gather for worship each Sunday at 8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.
In June and July, we adhere to a summer schedule of one service at 10:00 a.m.
Sunday School – Adult and youth Sunday school begins at 9:45 a.m. and is offered August through May. Children Pre-K through 5th grade are invited to participate in Children’s Choir from 9:30-10:00 a.m., then enjoy Sunday School from 10:00-10:45 a.m.
Special worship services are offered on Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, and multiple services on Christmas Eve. The Sacrament of Holy Communion is observed on the first Sunday of each month as well as on Maundy Thursday and the Christmas Eve services.
Children’s Worship
Children in Worship Services, Sanctuary
Children are important members of our church family. Our promise to them at baptism is “to guide and nurture children by word and deed, with love and prayer, encouraging our children to know and follow Christ.” To support this promise and knowing that children learn best by “participating,” children are always welcome to engage fully and remain in worship with their families. The presence of children in our sanctuary is a gift and a reminder of how our church is growing and thriving.
Children’s Worship, 11:00 a.m.
We offer Children's Worship on most Sunday mornings from August through May. Children's Worship is provided for children three years of age through kindergarten, and begins immediately following the Children's Sermon at the 11:00 worship service. After the Children’s Sermon, the children are led out of the Sanctuary to Children’s Worship in the Garden View Room.
The main purpose of Children’s Worship is to provide a worship time and environment created just for children to better support their learning of how and why we worship together in “big church.” During Children’s worship, the children will learn and experience the many ways we worship in the Sanctuary – we worship God by listening to God’s Word, singing to God, praying to God, and giving to God.

Child Care
Childcare is provided during all services for children up to 2 years old.
