Buford Presbyterian Weekday School

Notes from a few of our BPWS families:

We have loved being a part of Buford Presbyterian Weekday School! My son started pre-k there and was so happy about going to school every day! He was also well prepared for kindergarten the next year! My daughter is currently in the 3 year old class and I couldn’t be happier with her teachers and the environment that they have created. We look forward to being a part of Buford Presbyterian Weekday School next year as well!

Choosing to keep our son at BPWS for kindergarten is one of the best parenting decisions we’ve ever made. He is flourishing in a small school with a small class. The amount of personal attention he receives far exceeds what he would receive in public school. Because of this, we are seeing a constant acquisition of new skills. My wife is a former public elementary school teacher, and she can’t say enough positive things about this program. The teachers make meaningful connections with their students, and I’m positive these connections are why the students love coming to school every day. My son begs to come to school, even on weekends and holidays. He loves going to school, he’s learning and growing, and most importantly, he is cared for and loved. I cannot imagine having a better kindergarten experience!

BPWS is an awesome school! We had two older daughters complete the pre-k program and we are looking forward to our third daughter enrolling next year. The pre-k program helped prepare our girls not only academically but socially as well. Both went into their kindergarten year very prepared in the areas of reading, writing, and math. The girls always left school happy and were excited to tell us what they had learned - and it was a bunch! BPWS offers a family feel with small individualized instruction that is hard to find. The teachers are able to develop personal connections with each child and their families. The teachers also care enough to check on our older children from time to time! We knew that our girls were loved, learning, and growing while in the pre-k program at BPWS. We are definitely looking forward to another great experience next year!

Our son started pre-k in a GA pre-k program with 21 kids to 2 teachers, and we felt like he wasn’t getting all that he could out of his class. We decided to moved him to Buford Presbyterian Weekday School because we LOVED the smaller class sizes (12 kids to 2 teachers). Within a few days, we knew that we made the best decision ever! We already had a younger child at the school, so we saw the love and care that the teachers showed to each and every child. Personally, we also loved that we were able to keep chapel and prayer incorporated with his teaching for one more year. Our son was completely ready for kindergarten (sight words, reading, counting, colors, etc.) and is continuing to thrive because of the education he received at BPWS. He was always so excited to go to school because his teachers made learning fun while also making sure he was ready for the next level. We highly recommend Buford Presbyterian Weekday School’s pre-k program.

I just wanted to say how wonderful pre-k at BPWS is! My daughter learned a tremendous amount in her pre-k class. I couldn’t believe the amount of growth in learning she had from the beginning of the year to the end of the year. I feel she definitely had a jump start in kindergarten with how much she learned in pre-k. She was very well prepared in all the items she needed to know for kindergarten. I was so happy with her teachers and am looking forward to my son being in pre-k next year! I know how much he will learn and it makes me excited for him!

The pre-k teachers and program at BPWS have exceeded our expectations for three of our children and we look forward to our fourth child having the same experience. The pre-k teacher for our children not only created an incredible foundation for them to love and look forward to school, she ensured they were well prepared for kindergarten all while creating an environment where they felt loved and important. This school and teachers have been a blessing to our family and we would highly recommend to everyone!

BPWS pre-k program is amazing. My first child attended a GA public pre-k program where he struggled socially and academically. The large class size and longer school day, as well as additional factors likely contributed to the challenging school year. The following year my family had the opportunity to send our children to BPWS. Due to my first child’s late birthday, we chose to send him to pre-k again, this time at BPWS where he flourished. Two years later, my second child was also lucky to be able to learn in the same positive and structured pre-k program. I look forward to this coming year where my third child will have the opportunity to play, socialize, grow and learn in a supportive, loving pre-k environment. I have nothing but praise for Buford Presbyterian Weekday School. All the teachers have loved and respected my children as if they were their own. The small class size allows teachers to really know each student, giving the gift of a truly individualized education. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK AT BPWS!

When my oldest son was ready for pre-k, I assumed that I would save money and go with GA pre-k. After weighing options, we decided to stick with BPWS, and I will always be so grateful I chose to keep him here. Not only was he well prepared for kindergarten and has continued to flourish through elementary school, but the memories and friends we made will be forever cherished. BPWS helped nurture his innocent years and keep them magical. From the first day to the fall festival, to the field trip to the corn maze, to watching him march down the church aisle in his first cap and gown while I choked back tears of pride, BPWS made him feel at home. I am now on my third child here, and while I could rave about how academically prepared my kids have been, it is the feeling of home the teachers cultivate that make me highly recommend BPWS. I never would have found that at GA pre-k.

21 years ago I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl seven weeks early. I was warned not to take her to the store, not to go outside too much, not to let her get too hot or too cold. Then a year later I had another baby girl who was extremely wiggly and colicky and pretty much never kept a meal down for very long. One afternoon when my girls were two and one my neighbor came by to tell me her church had a mother’s morning out program. There were only three classes; 2 year olds, 3 year olds, and 4 year olds. She suggested I look into it for my oldest. It was one of the best decisions I’ve made as a mom. It took a few weeks to get use to the new schedule and new people, but my daughter was so happy there. The following year I enrolled both girls. Game. Changer! I was never for a minute worried about them because I knew they were in the best hands. The preschool has grown so much since we started… adding the new building and accommodating more age groups, multiple classes per age and the kindergarten. Our family grew as well, adding 3 boys to our 2 girls! Every one of them were enrolled asap (the youngest 2 boys were able to start at 1 year old and I didn’t hesitate for a second - I believe I was the first one in line at registration :). Some of my family’s fondest memories were during those preschool years with all the fun activities, the Thanksgiving Feast, birthday celebrations, the circus, the book fairs… but we mostly remember the love of the amazing teachers my children were blessed with. I cannot recommend Buford Presbyterian Weekday School enough! There simply isn’t a better preschool :)

Buford Presbyterian Weekday School is an extraordinary place for preschoolers. Both my son and daughter have thrived in this fun, encouraging, Christian environment. The teachers, directors and staff are genuinely committed to loving their students and helping them grow. BPWS provides numerous opportunities for students in academics, music, art, & chapel as well as several after school activities. The children at BPWS are happy, engaged and excited to be at school! It is truly a blessing to send your child to a school that feels like a family!
